We expand our engineering team

21 February 2023

I started my career in December 1994 as an apprentice draughtsman at EMS, a project management company in Cape town. Since then, I have been working in a multi-discipline engineering environment for the last 29 years.

I am qualified as a civil and structural designer and registered as an Architectural Technologist with the South African Council of Architectural professionals.

Over the years I have gained experience in various industries and projects as a 3d designer, site supervisor, and later, design office manager. I have been involved with some interesting projects in the past, to name but a few highlights of my career.

  • Liqhobong diamond mine - Lesotho. One of the largest diamond mines in Lesotho and in the world. The mine is in the Maloti Mountains.
  • Rheinmetall Denel Munition (RDM) high explosive and pyrotechnical plant in Cape Town - in excess of 200HA with more than 100 individual buildings.
  • Swakopmund Desalination Plant - Namibia. The plant can currently produce 20 million cubic meters of desalinated water a year.
  • Biovac bio-pharmaceutical company - new Facility design Cape Town.
  • Mozel Aluminium smelter - The Mozal Project included the construction of a 250,000-ton-per-annum primary aluminium smelter located west of Maputo city in Mozambique.

At the end of 2022, I was given the opportunity to join the engineering team at Stormwater360 as a Stormwater design consultant. I am very excited to start this new chapter of my career and to be part of a company that is passionate about the environment and a sustainable future.
