Description
Waimakariri District Council is beating plastic pollution by installing
30 x LittaTraps in the Main Street of Rangiora.
The LittaTrap will allow the council to easily capture and remove the plastic and other litter that makes its way into the catch pit. The traps will also prevent blockages in the stormwater drain from the leaf fall in the autumn, and by capturing the leaves the phosphorous release is prevented from entering the waterways.
