Description

The EMU Maintenance Depot is a large 7650m2 maintenance building constructed as the main servicing hub for Auckland’s new electric trains. It comprises of a main maintenance hall where train servicing takes place, ground floor offices, and a first floor depot control office.

Our in-house design team worked closely with the consulting engineers during the detailed design stage to provide appropriate devices to meet the specific site constraints and target contaminates.

A Fox Valve has been installed in the external graffiti washdown bay to divert the first flush and washdown water to trade waste. This will ensure clean Stormwater is kept out of the waste water sewers.

A VortClarex has been installed for oil/water separation and containment of liquids discharging from the internal servicing bay area during cleaning of train parts. The resulting effluent is discharged to trade waste for further treatment.

A StormFilter has been installed to treat the staff carpark, associated local roads and impervious hardstand areas for total suspended solids (TSS) and Heavy Metals.
