The Water NZ Stormwater Conference this year was once again a great success!
It was held at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Auckland on Wednesday 1st to Friday 3rd May 2019. On the Tuesday prior to the conference Stormwater360 hosted a field trip to showcase some of our devices installed around Auckland. More details of the field trip can be found here: https://www.stormwater360.co.nz/news-and-events/post/field-trip-may-2019
On the last day of the conference our Technical Stormwater Consultant, Mariana Basilio, presented a paper on an inspirational story of the Weiti Boating Club. This is an awesome story of a small club (of 300 members) that managed to successfully implement a low-budget solution to treat effluents’ loaded runoff and contaminated stormwater from their boat yard.
The club was a great example of what a group of motivated people can achieve if they research, work together, plan their budget and are brave to innovate.
A video outlining the story can be found here.
We hope everyone who attended enjoyed themselves, and we will be looking forward to attending the conference again next year!
