Arthur Mead Environmental Awards – a collaborative recognition

1 September 2017

Stormwater360 was very proud to receive a Merit in the Small Project Category in the prestigious IPENZ Arthur Mead Environmental Awards held recently in Auckland.

The award was awarded for ‘Applying environmental awareness to an engineering project for the Innovative Conversion of a Sandfilter to a StormFilter at State Highway 1.’

Troy Brockbank and Mike Hannah worked very closely with  Auckland Motorways (AMA) and the NZ Transport Agency to retrofit an unsafe and inefficient stormwater treatment device into a StormFilter.  The conversion provided health & safety and hydraulic improvements, as well as reducing operational costs by 80%.

The project highlights the ability of Stormwater360 to deliver enhanced stormwater management solutions that improve environmental outcomes, reduce costs and provide safer operation.

We would really like to thank  Auckland Motorways for giving us the opportunity to demonstrate what we can do.
