A 16 cartridge vault StormFilter and a 4 cartridge manhole StormFilter were specified by OPUS Consultants to treat the runoff from car parking areas at the Grammar School Auckland. The intial design for a sandfilter was swapped out for the StormFilters due to its lower capital cost and on-going maintenance costs.
Perlite filter media was used in the 46cm drop cartridges to treat Total Suspended Solids (TSS), organics from leaves and oil & grease.
